Lasagna bar opens in Marseille

Omma, a lasagna bar in Marseille, serves homemade lasagnes made with fresh pasta, French vegetables, and Italian cured meats. It is located above the Vieux-Port near rue Sainte and offers both dine-in and takeout options.

Halloween special adds seasonal flair

The bar’s creator, Logan Descazeaux, has introduced a Halloween-themed lasagna recipe using pumpkin, Paris mushrooms, and burrata. This seasonal dish joins the bar’s rotating menu of over thirty recipes, which change with the seasons.

Ambiance and seating enhance the experience

The decor features hanging lemons and displays of generously filled lasagna containers, creating a nostalgic Italian vacation atmosphere. Green chairs and a bench added in August allow customers to dine on-site for lunch or dinner.

Family legacy and culinary passion

Logan Descazeaux founded Omma in February 2025 with the goal of offering more than just fast food. He emphasized the family meal aspect of lasagna, inspired by his grandmother’s weekend cooking traditions.

Variety of flavors and ingredients

While the traditional bolognaise remains a staple, Omma offers unique versions such as pistachio and mortadella, ricotta and spinach, zucchini and feta, and truffle lasagnas. Each dish is prepared in a nearby Marseille laboratory with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Family involvement in the business

Logan trained in the restaurant industry with his cousin and continues to work closely with family members. His father is involved in the laboratory, and his mother occasionally helps in the kitchen, emphasizing the family-oriented approach of the business.

Desserts and future expansion

Omma serves house-made desserts like coffee tiramisu, speculoos-flavored treats, raspberry panna cotta, and chocolate chip cookies. The bar’s laboratory serves as a production base, and Logan aims to expand the brand to multiple locations in the future.
