A poetic and humorous performance titled Variations for an Umbrella has been staged by Marion Monier and Julie Dutoit, two sisters who explore childhood memories through a whimsical journey into an attic. There, they discover old rain gear, a bow, and a clown nose, which become central to their performance. One sister plays the viol, while the other wears the rain clothes and performs a quirky, clownish parade. The show has been praised for its ability to captivate both young children and adults, evoking nostalgia for rainy days of the past. The production is directed by Marion Le Gourrièrec and Charly Labourier, with set design, costumes, and accessories created by Jeanne Leblon-Delienne and Lola Brunat. Lighting is designed by Amanda Carriat, and sound design is handled by Matteo Gallus. The performance is produced by Chouette il pleut ! and supported by several cultural organizations, including L’Adami, Un neuf trois Soleil !, and L’ACTA. Variations for an Umbrella will be performed at various venues across France. It begins at Theatre La Piscine in Châtenay-Malabry (92) from 11 to 13 October, followed by the Festival Les Petits Asticots in Sallanches and Combloux (74) from 15 to 17 October.
