Nathalie Pernette's new performance

Nathalie Pernette’s new work Murmures explores a fairy-like universe where the forest is transformed into a stage, continuing the themes she explored in her earlier piece Wi - La peau des arbres, which was presented in June 2026. The performance is designed to be accessible to young audiences and features a magical setting filled with elves, campanulas, and a whispering willow.

Themes and visuals of Murmures

Murmures is described as a joyful, multicolored mosaic that brings to life the changing seasons and the activities of forest organisms, both day and night. The performance plays with the idea of things appearing and disappearing, creating a world of camouflage and enchantment.

Team behind Murmures

The choreography of Murmures is by Nathalie Pernette, with performances by Jessie-Lou Lamy-Chappuis and Anthony Michelet. Franck Gervais is responsible for the musical creation, while Caroline Nguyen designed the lighting. Fabienne Desflèches handles costumes and makeup, and Amélie Kiritzé-Topor is in charge of set design. Stéphane Magnin oversees general management and sound.

Performance schedule and duration

Murmures is estimated to last 40 minutes and will tour across multiple venues in France. The first performances are scheduled for 3 and 4 November 2026 at Le Cratère in Alès, followed by a series of shows in cities including Blagnac, Marseille, Valence, Clermont-Ferrand, Besançon, Colmar, Vitry-le-Fançois, Montbéliard, and others, with the final performances planned for May 2027 in Le Creusot.
