Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S26 FE, a "Fan Edition" version of its flagship Galaxy S26 smartphone. This model aims to provide a more accessible option by slightly modifying technical specifications while still delivering a premium user experience. The Galaxy S26 FE comes with a larger 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, which has a 120 Hz refresh rate, compared to the standard Galaxy S26's 6.3-inch display. The larger screen also allows for a bigger battery, at 4900 mAh, up from 4300 mAh on the standard model. While it uses the Exynos 2500 processor instead of the more powerful Exynos 2600, Samsung has optimized performance through its Android 17 operating system and One UI 9 software, ensuring a smooth and responsive experience. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens—slightly different from the standard model’s 10-megapixel telephoto.
The Galaxy S26 FE is available in three storage configurations: 128 GB for 799 euros, 256 GB for 899 euros, and 512 GB for 1,099 euros. To celebrate its launch, Samsung has partnered with Bouygues Telecom, a French mobile network provider, to offer various incentives. These include a pair of Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses valued at 269 euros, a six-month trial of Google AI Pro worth 132 euros, and an extended trade-in bonus of 100 euros. However, customers must purchase the Galaxy S26 FE with a Bouygues Telecom plan for at least 24 months to qualify for these offers.
One of the available plans is the Integral 250 Go, which costs 34.99 euros per month for the first year and 44.99 euros for the second year. It includes 250 GB of 5G data, unlimited voice and text services, and access to multi-screen b.tv with 180 channels. Customers can opt for an initial payment of 99 euros, followed by monthly installments of 13.10 euros over 24 months. Existing Bouygues Telecom customers who already use the Bbox service receive a 5 euro monthly discount on their plan throughout the subscription period.
The Galaxy S26 FE represents Samsung's strategy to offer a more affordable yet still high-quality alternative to its flagship models. By adjusting features such as screen size, battery capacity, and processor, Samsung aims to cater to a broader audience without compromising on the overall premium feel. The partnership with Bouygues Telecom further enhances the value proposition for potential buyers, making the device more attractive in the competitive smartphone market.
