QJMotor launches new scooter in Italy

QJMotor introduced the LTS 125S scooter at the EICMA 2026 trade show, targeting urban riders with a symbolic price of 1,990 euros, though the official catalog lists it at 2,090 euros. The scooter is currently aimed mainly at the Italian market and is not yet available in France, where the company sells a smaller 50 cm³ model.

Scooter’s engine and performance

The LTS 125S is powered by a four-stroke single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 124 cm³, producing 9.4 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. It uses an automatic CVT transmission with a belt, designed to make daily driving easier.

Design and dimensions

The scooter has a steel frame with hydraulic suspension at both the front and rear. It features 16-inch and 14-inch wheels for stability on urban roads and weighs 109 kg, with a seat height of 760 mm and a wheelbase of 1,290 mm. It is compact, measuring 1,880 mm in length and 715 mm in width.

Comfort and convenience features

The LTS 125S is designed for urban commuting, with a relaxed riding position, padded seat, and storage options including a compartment under the seat for a small helmet and a USB port for charging devices. It also includes a color LCD screen for instrumentation.

Braking system and classification

The scooter uses a 240 mm front disc and a 190 mm rear disc with a combined braking system (CBS) that distributes braking force between both wheels. However, it lacks an anti-lock braking system (ABS), which prevents wheel lock during sudden stops. It falls under the L3e-A1 category, which limits power to 15 hp and focuses on simplicity and practicality.

Comparison with similar models

In comparison, the SYM ECHS 125 is priced at 1,999 euros in Germany and 2,199 euros in France, offering more features like ABS and a helmet compartment. Within QJMotor’s lineup, the SQ16 125 has more power and advanced braking, priced around 3,499 euros in some markets.
