Star Wars arcade games released in a home machine

Arcade1Up has launched a home arcade machine that includes three classic Star Wars games originally created by Atari for arcades: Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. These titles were among the first video games based on the Star Wars franchise and were popular in the early 1980s.

Machine features and design

The machine includes a joystick with four buttons and triggers, a 17-inch color LCD screen, and two speakers. It stands about 155 cm tall when assembled with its base and is designed to resemble the original arcade cabinets from the 1980s.

Price and availability

The original price for the machine was 729.99 euros, but it is now available on Amazon for 431.68 euros, which represents a discount of more than 40 percent. The machine also includes a transparent protective cover for the control panel and an anti-tipover strap.

Assembly and weight

The machine weighs 42 kg and arrives as a kit that requires assembly. It is intended for collectors and fans of the original Star Wars trilogy rather than for extended gameplay sessions.

Gameplay and graphics

The games are based on the original 1983 arcade versions, which used vector graphics and were designed for single-player use. These early games featured simple but iconic visuals that defined the look of arcade games at the time.
