JMGO has unveiled an updated version of its N1S 4K portable projector, offering enhanced brightness and added features. The new model delivers 1,700 lumens of brightness, which is a notable upgrade from many similar projectors that typically require a dark environment to function well. This improvement allows the projector to display a clear image even in a lit room, making it more versatile for everyday use. The projector maintains its 4K resolution and uses a triple laser RGB light source, which provides more accurate colors and better contrast. It also comes with an integrated Google TV system and is housed in a compact, stand-mounted case. The original price of the JMGO N1S 4K was 899 euros, but it is now available on Amazon for 798 euros, thanks to a 50 euro discount coupon. For an additional euro, buyers can opt for a bundle that includes a 100-inch projection screen, which is useful for projecting larger images without the need for a separate screen. This new version of the projector tackles a common issue with portable models—low brightness—by increasing the light output to 1,700 ISO lumens. While the projector still performs best in darker environments, this upgrade allows for better readability in a living room or even during daylight hours. The device is designed with a swivel stand that offers 360-degree flexibility, making it easy to position the projector for optimal viewing, whether on a wall or a ceiling. Weighing just 2 kg, it is lightweight and easy to move between rooms. The projector uses a triple laser light source, which enhances color accuracy, contrast, and brightness. It can project images ranging from 60 to 200 inches, but achieving the largest size requires a distance of 5.3 meters and a dark room. Additional features include autofocus, trapezoidal correction, automatic alignment, and lossless zoom, which help in adjusting the image for different surfaces and setups. On the software side, the N1S 4K runs on Google TV, offering access to over 10,000 apps, including certified Netflix. It also supports Google Assistant and wireless casting, making it convenient for streaming and voice control. For gamers, the projector features a low latency of 17 ms and HDMI 2.1 compatibility, which is suitable for console gaming on a large screen. However, serious competitive gamers may still prefer a dedicated monitor for its superior response times.
