Light show at Vincennes Castle

A light show titled Nuit de Lumière is happening at Vincennes Castle in France, from October 15 to November 8. The event uses light projections to create immersive experiences on the castle and its surrounding areas.

Artists from seven countries

The show features 14 light-based artworks created by 15 artists from seven different countries. These works blend historical themes with contemporary artistic expression.

Historical and pop culture themes

The projections include references to historical figures such as D'Artagnan, Joséphine Baker, Saint-Louis, Charles V, Diderot, Napoléon, and résistants from 1944. Some of these figures are linked to pop culture, like Saint-Louis being associated with Billy Joel and Mirabeau with Snoop Dogg.

Interactive and large-scale art

The event includes interactive elements such as digital portraits that change when visitors interact with them, as well as large-scale illuminated drawings. These features allow for a dynamic and engaging experience.

Event schedule and purpose

The light show is open on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until 11 p.m. It aims to offer a unique way to explore the castle's history and architecture through modern digital art.
