Marshall, a well-known British brand specializing in audio equipment, has launched the Bromley 150, a new addition to its line of portable party speakers. This model joins the Bromley 450 and Bromley 750, which have already gained popularity for their sound quality and portability. The Bromley 150 is designed to be more compact and easier to carry, with a cube-like shape that stands about 30 cm tall and weighs 6.3 kg. It includes a handle on the top for easy transport and features a design similar to its larger siblings, with plastic corner reinforcements, synthetic leather covering, and a metallic acoustic grille on the front. The speaker is also equipped with adjustable lighting and has an IP55 rating, meaning it can resist light rain and be used outdoors before being moved under cover. The Bromley 150 delivers 360° sound and includes a control panel with a brushed aluminium finish. The panel features a battery gauge, buttons for adjusting the lighting, selecting audio sources, managing track playback, and accessing a favorite function. It also includes six potentiometers for fine-tuning volume, bass, and treble levels, as well as the volume of microphone and guitar inputs and effects like delay and reverb. For connectivity, the speaker includes a USB-C port for power and wired input, a 3.5 mm mini-jack input, and two combo XLR/jack 6.35 mm line inputs for connecting a microphone and/or guitar. Unlike the Bromley 450, it does not have an RCA input but includes a 3.5 mm mini-jack output for connecting to another Bromley speaker. The Bluetooth receiver supports the LE Audio standard, which allows for lower latency when used with Android devices and enables the reception of Auracast streams without the need for traditional pairing. The Bromley 150 is designed for long use, offering an autonomy of around 40 hours on a single charge. It features a removable battery, which allows users to swap in a second battery for extended operation. Priced at 449 €, the Bromley 150 will be available starting October 13 in a single black and brass finish. While it is less expensive than the Bromley 750, it faces competition from other brands such as JBL, which also offer high-quality portable speakers. The Bromley 150 aims to provide a balance of performance, portability, and affordability for consumers looking to enhance their audio experience at home or during outdoor events.
