Boox, a company known for its E Ink tablets, has introduced an updated version of its popular Note Air E Ink tablet, called the Note Air 6C. This device is designed for users who prefer reading digital books, taking notes, and browsing the web on a screen that mimics paper, reducing eye strain. The 10.3-inch display can render black-and-white content at 300 pixels per inch (PPI), which is very sharp, and color content at 150 PPI, offering a balance between clarity and energy efficiency. One of the key improvements in the Note Air 6C is its upgraded processor, which can reach speeds of up to 2.9GHz—45 percent faster than the previous model, the Note Air 5C. This boost in performance results in a 40 percent faster page-turning speed when reading PDF documents, making the tablet more responsive for users who rely on it for studying or work. The device also features an updated refresh mode, which enhances the fluidity of scrolling, web browsing, and using apps that include dynamic content on the E Ink screen. The Note Air 6C runs on Android 16, the latest version of the Android operating system, offering improved features and security compared to the Android 15 used in the previous model. It provides full access to the Google Play Store, allowing users to download a wide range of apps. The tablet includes a four-microphone array for clearer voice recordings, a fingerprint sensor on the power button for secure logins, and 6GB of RAM, the same as the previous generation. It comes with the Pen3 stylus, which doesn’t require charging or pairing, an adjustable front light for reading in different lighting conditions, dual speakers, and 64GB of built-in storage. Additional storage can be added via a microSD card. The Note Air 6C is available for $580, which includes a folio case and spare stylus tips. This is a $50 increase from the previous model, the Note Air 5C, which was priced at $530. A separate bundle that includes a keyboard cover is priced at $690, but it is discounted to $657 during the launch period. These bundles aim to provide users with a more complete experience, combining the tablet with accessories that enhance its functionality for both reading and productivity.
