New air fryers on the market

Ninja and Dreame have both introduced new air fryers that place their heating blocks directly on glass containers, offering a compact and modular design. These devices aim to replace traditional bulky oil-free fryers with more practical and space-saving alternatives.

Dreame Tasti's features and price

The Dreame Tasti, available at Boulanger for under 100 euros, includes two borosilicate glass containers of 2.5 and 4.5 liters, a temperature range of 60 to 200 °C, and five preprogrammed cooking modes. It is currently on sale for 99 euros, down from its usual price of 119 euros.

Design and usability

Dreame emphasizes a compact and modular format, with a 2.5-liter tray for individual meals and a 4.5-liter tray for family cooking. The device also includes a touchscreen for easy control and monitoring of cooking settings, distinguishing it from the Ninja Crispi.

Material and safety

The Dreame Tasti uses borosilicate glass containers and a stainless steel grid, avoiding Teflon or non-stick coatings that can flake over time. The components are also dishwasher-safe, except for the heating block, which requires a damp cloth for cleaning.

Cooking versatility

With a 1500 W power rating, the Tasti can perform five functions: oil-free frying, roasting, grilling, reheating, and keeping warm. It also releases a small amount of steam during cooking to keep food moist, using a 30 ml water compartment in the bowl.
