Regional delegation at global food fair

25 companies from Bourgogne-Franche-Comté participated in a major international food innovation event, showcasing the region's agri-food industry through a dedicated pavilion organized with the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR).

Key regional companies in attendance

Among the companies present were Agrodoubs, Bourgogne escargot, BVB Lagrange, Rieme Boissons, and Fromagerie Vagne, all representing the diverse food production landscape of the region.

Scale of the food industry in the region

The food industry in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté includes 1,065 establishments, excluding commercial craftsmanship, with a quarter of these focused on dairy production. The sector employs 17,800 people and produces 135 products under geographical indication, of which 78 percent are wines.

Region supports local food companies

For three years, the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region has supported agri-food companies through BFC Participations, an investment fund designed to strengthen their financial sustainability and keep decision-making centers within the region.

Funding for international market presence

The regional participation at the SIAL fair is part of a broader program of international initiatives, funded with 900,000 euros annually to support around 500 companies in strategic sectors like industry, health, luxury, agri-food, and digital. The wine sector receives 18 percent of this funding.
