At IFA 2026, a major international trade show for consumer electronics held in Berlin from September 4 to 8, Aqara, a Chinese smart home brand, has introduced five new lighting products and a tool for designing smart home scenarios. These products are designed to make living spaces more intuitive by adapting to users' behaviors automatically, rather than requiring direct control through voice or apps. The new line includes a floor lamp, downlight, LED strip, and two types of outdoor lighting, all compatible with major smart home platforms like Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home. This compatibility allows the lighting to interact with other smart devices and respond to user routines or sensor data.
The Floor Lamp T1 stands 1.42 meters tall and casts light sideways onto walls, offering adjustable color temperatures from warm to cool white and up to 1,000 lumens of brightness. Its light can be controlled in 18 separate zones, enabling precise lighting adjustments. The Downlight T2 is ideal for low ceilings, featuring an ultra-thin design and two versions: one with 16 million color options and another with a more traditional white light range. It also has a power cut memory that restores the last lighting state after an outage. The LED Strip T2 includes 108 LEDs per meter and can be divided into 18 zones every three meters, allowing for synchronized lighting with music or scene creation via a written description in the Aqara Home app.
For outdoor use, the Outdoor String Lights H1 offer adjustable white light and can be triggered based on time of day, environmental conditions, or other Aqara devices, thanks to an AI-powered feature called Gen-Scene. The Permanent Outdoor Lights H1 are designed for year-round use, replacing traditional seasonal decorations. They are waterproof, can be cut to fit different rooflines, and include preset lighting options that can be activated with a simple gesture.
Aqara has also launched Aqara Builder, a platform aimed at smart home enthusiasts, developers, and creators. This platform includes an AI assistant to help users build and share personalized automation scenarios. Aqara hopes to foster a community where users can exchange ideas and practical smart home solutions. While the company has not yet announced pricing or availability dates for the new products, they will be on display at IFA 2026 in Berlin.
