At the recent IFA trade show, Aqara unveiled a new line of smart lighting products designed to work with popular home automation systems. These devices support both Zigbee and Thread protocols, which are standards used for connecting smart home devices. One of the standout products is the **Floor Lamp T1**, a tall floor lamp featuring an LED pole that can be adjusted to create dynamic lighting effects. The lamp includes 18 individually addressable zones, allowing users to customize colors and light patterns across different sections of the lamp. This level of customization is similar to that of a comparable product from the brand Govee. Expanding beyond indoor use, Aqara is also introducing permanent outdoor smart lights with individually addressable LEDs. These lights are designed to withstand outdoor conditions and offer a range of color options for special occasions or ambient lighting. The company is also launching RGBIC string lights, which can be tailored with various colors and settings, including warm and cool white tones for different moods and environments. Aqara is updating its LED light strip, which now includes a new chip that supports multi-zone control. Each 3-meter section of the strip can be divided into 18 independent zones, allowing for more detailed and flexible lighting configurations. In addition, the company is introducing a second-generation downlight available in two sizes—4-inch and 6-inch—offering either RGB-CCT (which includes both colors and tunable white light) or just RGB options. All of Aqara's new lighting products are compatible with Matter-enabled platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, Home Assistant, and Homey through the Thread protocol. This compatibility ensures that users can integrate these devices into their existing smart home ecosystems. However, details about pricing and when the products will be available for purchase have not yet been disclosed.
