The Epson EcoTank ET-2861 ink tank printer is currently on sale on Amazon, with its price reduced from £239.99 to £179.99. This brings a discount of £60, or 25% off the original price. The printer is designed to be a cost-effective solution for people who print frequently at home. It comes with refillable ink tanks that include up to three years of ink, and it can print, scan, and copy. It also includes features like Wi-Fi connectivity, a 100-sheet paper tray, and the ability to print photos without borders. One of the key selling points of the Epson EcoTank ET-2861 is its ability to reduce the ongoing cost of printing. Unlike traditional printers that require expensive ink cartridges, this model allows users to refill the ink tanks themselves. According to reports, a single ink cartridge for a previous model of HP printer could cost up to £167.50. In comparison, the entire Epson EcoTank ET-2861, including the ink, costs just £12.49 more than one of those expensive cartridges. Epson claims that a single set of ink bottles can produce up to 4,500 black-and-white pages or 7,500 color pages, making it a cost-efficient option for regular use. The American version of the printer, the Epson EcoTank ET-2800, is also available on Amazon at a discounted price of $199.99, down from its usual price of $239.99. The report highlights that the Epson EcoTank ET-2861 is a good fit for families, students working on homework, and anyone who needs regular color printing. However, it may not be the most economical choice for individuals who only print a few pages each year and are looking for the lowest possible cost. While the Epson EcoTank ET-2861 is ideal for frequent home printing, it's important to consider usage patterns when choosing a printer. For those who print infrequently, a cheaper model with lower upfront costs might be more suitable. The Epson EcoTank ET-2861, however, continues to offer a compelling value proposition for regular users looking to save on long-term printing expenses.
