Event concludes successfully

The 42nd edition of the Florilèges, an annual cultural event in Le Tampon, ended on Sunday, October 18, after ten days of activities centered on the theme "Nature in All Its States." The event attracted both local residents and visitors from across La Réunion, reinforcing its status as a key community gathering.

Attendance rises despite challenges

This year’s event saw a notable increase in attendance, with 10,008 paid entries recorded for concerts, up from 9,286 in 2025. This represents nearly an 8 percent increase, even though the opening evening, Miss & Mister, was canceled.

Local artists shine in the spotlight

One of the highlights of the event was the Sega Maloya evening on October 14, which featured local artists Missty, Danyèl Waro, and Secteur 410. The event drew a large crowd, and similar success was seen with concerts by Francky Vincent, Harry Diboula, and Luc Leandry.

Young artists drive attendance

Evenings dedicated to local and emerging artists, such as the Rap, Shatta & Dancehall and Love events, saw the highest attendance of the edition. These performances featured artists like K’Rosif, Tidem, and Pix’L, showing strong public support for the new generation of Reunionnese musicians.

Free evening draws large crowd

A free evening on Monday, October 12, hosted by DJ Sebb, also attracted a large audience. The event, which was both festive and accessible, reinforced the Florilèges’ ability to bring together people of all ages for convivial moments.

Community engagement and family events

The event extended beyond music with activities throughout Le Tampon, including a successful day dedicated to grandparents, which saw nearly 60 buses arrive. This event emphasized intergenerational exchange and conviviality.

City center buzzes with activity

Street performances and animations in the city center were a hit, praised by local merchants and community members. These activities helped create a lively and festive atmosphere in the heart of Le Tampon.

Workshops promote learning and nature

Four workshop spaces were set up during the event, focusing on skill-sharing, knowledge exchange, and ecological practices. These workshops aligned with the theme of nature and were well-received by participants.

Event adapts to logistical challenges

The 42nd edition faced logistical challenges due to the construction of a new urban road near the SIDR des 400 venue. Despite this, organizers adapted effectively, ensuring a smooth experience for attendees. However, overall spending at the event was lower, likely due to broader economic pressures affecting consumer spending.

Gratitude and future outlook

The City of Le Tampon expressed gratitude to residents, visitors, artists, and partners for their support. Municipal staff were especially commended for their work in ensuring the event ran smoothly. The successful edition brought together the community through ten days of cultural encounters, local art, and shared festivities.
