The FPS roguelite game Void/Breaker is set to leave its early access phase and officially launch on November 4 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Developed by a single creator, Daniel Stubbington, who uses the alias Stubby Games, the game is described as fast-paced and action-packed, differing from the more measured gameplay of his earlier adventure title, The Entropy Centre. In Void/Breaker, players take on the role of a single character fighting against an AI in cyberpunk-style settings. The game offers a variety of futuristic weapons, including grenades, lasers, and other advanced gear. A standout feature is the deep mod system, which lets players extensively customize their primary weapon, allowing them to change its functions and create combinations between different modifications. This system gives players a high degree of personalization and strategy in gameplay. Another notable aspect of the game is its environmental destruction system. Players can use tools like pickaxes and C4 explosives to alter the game's arenas, changing the layout and creating new challenges or advantages during combat. This dynamic feature adds a layer of unpredictability and interactivity to the gameplay experience. Currently, Void/Breaker is available in early access, and players can try a demo that retains their progress in the final version. The game is also on sale with a 30% discount, priced at 18.89€, until October 8, offering an opportunity for players to experience the game at a reduced cost before its official release.
