Rescuers mobilized for beach incident

This Sunday at 12:15, maritime rescuers from the SNSM Rescue Center in Prupià, Corse-du-Sud, were called into action after an alert from the CODIS 2A and the CROSS Méditerranée. The alert involved an injured person on the beach of Tivella, a location on the Sartenais coast that is not reachable by road.

Injury caused by poor reception

The injured person suffered a minor injury due to poor reception, which likely refers to a communication issue or a mishap related to a signal or device. The exact nature of the injury was not specified, but it was described as minor.

Evacuation by sea

The individual was attended to by the rescuers, who then packaged and evacuated the person by sea to the port of Tizzà. This method of evacuation was necessary due to the remote and inaccessible nature of the beach.

Transfer to hospital

Upon arrival at the port, the injured person was handed over to the firefighters of the SIS 2A. These firefighters ensured the individual's safe transfer to the Sartè Hospital Center for further care.
