The annual congress of the UNIS, held on September 24 and 25, 2026, at the Cité Internationale de Lyon, concluded with an address by its president, Édouard Morlot, who succeeds Danielle Dubrac. Morlot emphasized the union's focus on making members' lives easier and supporting the evolution of their professions. He announced a new solution to simplify the renewal of professional cards for leaders and their collaborators, expected to be available in a few weeks. The process, described as an "administrative headache," is time-consuming and lacks added value, according to Morlot. The UNIS also aims to strengthen its patrimonial independence by acquiring its headquarters. Current lease agreements run until 2031, with a deadline of August 31, 2027, to give notice. A "window of opportunity in 2028" was mentioned. Additionally, the union plans to expand its presence through social networks, podcasts, and other programs, allocating additional resources and hiring a new collaborator. Regarding lobbying, several companies are being consulted to assist professionals starting from January 1, 2027. Training initiatives are also being strengthened through a partnership with an e-learning provider, ensuring that the offerings are complementary but not competitive. Morlot highlighted the union's digital initiatives, including a mobile application promised in June and currently in testing. The app is expected to be released at the end of the year on Apple and at the beginning of 2027 on Android. It will consolidate services for members, news, legal documentation, training, and expert content. Another digital innovation, UNISBOT, a virtual assistant, is set to be available in the member area starting next week. It will allow members to query resources, including templates and legal documents, with written exchanges initially and the possibility of voice interaction planned for a later stage. Morlot concluded his speech by summarizing the union's roadmap with three verbs: "serve, act, listen to be more useful."
