New route between Lisbon and Reykjavík

TAP Air Portugal will launch a seasonal flight service between Lisbon and Keflavík Airport, which serves Reykjavík, on April 1, 2027. The service will operate three times a week until the end of October using Airbus A320neo aircraft.

Flight schedule details

The new route will have departures from Lisbon on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 21:05, arriving in Iceland at 00:55 the following day. Flights from Keflavík will leave on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 1:45, arriving in Lisbon at 7:25.

Overnight travel times

Travelers will experience overnight travel in both directions, with arrivals in Iceland after midnight and morning returns to Portugal. A Tuesday departure from Lisbon will result in an arrival at Keflavík during the night of Tuesday to Wednesday.

Aircraft and flight numbers

TAP plans to use an Airbus A320neo for the new route, with flights marketed as TP772 from Lisbon to Keflavík and TP773 in the reverse direction. The airline aims to strengthen connections between Portugal and Iceland and create new travel opportunities.

Connections from France

French travelers will benefit from the new route by connecting through Lisbon to Iceland. TAP operates flights to Lisbon from several French cities, including Paris-Orly, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, and Toulouse.

Ticket prices and travel times

TAP announced round-trip tickets starting at 349 euros, all taxes included, between Lisbon and Reykjavík. Travel times from France will depend on the chosen flights and the duration of the stopover in Lisbon.

Partnership with Icelandair

The new route is part of an existing commercial relationship between TAP and Icelandair. The two airlines signed a code-sharing agreement in October 2024 to improve connectivity for their customers.

Code-sharing benefits

The agreement allows for travel on a single ticket and check-in of baggage up to the final destination. Icelandair noted that TAP customers can travel via Lisbon to Iceland and continue on its network, while TAP customers can also access Icelandair’s routes.
