Pokémon Pokopia, a popular video game in the Pokémon franchise, has announced a special Halloween event called "Les surprises sucrées de Pitrouille." This event is the fifth of its kind in the game and will run from Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 5 AM to Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 4:59 AM, according to French time. During this period, players will be able to collect a limited resource called Citrouille Lollipops, which can be exchanged for exclusive items. New Pokémon will appear, and the game world will be decorated with spooky elements, including carved pumpkins, haunted trees, and glowing ghostly decorations. Pitrouille, a Ghost-Grass type Pokémon, will be the central character of the event. Players can interact with Pitrouille starting on October 17 by speaking to it in front of completed city centers. Pitrouille will offer unique Halloween-themed items in exchange for the collected Citrouille Lollipops. While the exact list of new items has not been revealed, promotional images suggest they will include decorations and other festive elements. To participate in the event, players must have at least started the Desolate Beach area, a coastal region in the mid to late stages of the game. In this area, players can obtain the Camouflage ability of Zorua, a Pokémon that can transform into objects to play harmless tricks on other Pokémon. This ability allows players to startle their Pokémon after they realize the deception of Metamorph, a transformation-based move. This is not considered mistreatment, as Pokémon will reward players if they are scared in a proper and playful way. Some of the new Halloween-themed items can be used to build a new habitat, specifically the nest of Pitrouille's evolution, Banshitrouye. Both Pitrouille and Banshitrouye will remain available in the game after the event ends, allowing players to permanently add these iconic Ghost-type Pokémon to their game areas. This event offers a festive and interactive way for players to engage with the game's spooky themes while collecting exclusive items and expanding their virtual world.
