However, a writer involved in the project may have accidentally shared a key piece of information about the DLC's storyline. Despite the game's release several months ago, fans are still waiting for clear details about the narrative DLC, which Capcom has confirmed is in development but has otherwise remained silent on. The first update about the scripted content was shared months after the game launched, but it provided no concrete information. In the meantime, Capcom has shifted its focus to Resident Evil Veronica, a separate project, and released a small free DLC as a surprise. The main story of Resident Evil Requiem remains largely unknown, leaving players curious about what lies ahead. During an interview with MEADOWLARK COMIC CON, Haris Orkin, a writer and narrative designer for Resident Evil Requiem, hinted that the DLC will explore a narrative arc centered around a character named Spencer. He later admitted he shouldn't have revealed the detail, suggesting the DLC might expand on a storyline already introduced in the game and provide more context about Spencer's role. This implies the DLC could offer deeper insight into the character's significance within the Resident Evil universe. Orkin is not new to the Resident Evil franchise. He previously worked on Resident Evil: Shadows of Rose, an extension of Resident Evil Village that focuses on the character Rose Winters. His involvement in multiple narrative projects adds credibility to his comments, even though they are not an official announcement from Capcom. Fans will now have to wait for the company to officially reveal the DLC. In the meantime, Orkin's remarks suggest that Spencer may play a more significant role in the expansion than players currently expect.
