Marseille prepares for mobilization day

In anticipation of a planned mobilization on October 31, the City of Marseille has announced several precautionary measures to ensure public safety and manage potential disruptions.

Municipal facilities to close

Several municipal facilities and public spaces will be closed on October 31. This includes Parc Longchamp, as well as cultural sites like the Museum of the History of Marseille and the Museum of Fine Arts.

Market hours adjusted

Some markets will remain open but with modified hours. For example, markets such as Joseph Thierry / Réformés, Stalingrad Fleurs, Vieux Port Fleurs, La Plaine Alimentaire, and Capucins – Noailles will be open from 7am to 12pm instead of their usual 8am-1pm schedule.

Natural history museum shortens hours

The Museum of Natural History will also adjust its hours, remaining open only until 12:30pm on October 31, earlier than its usual closing time.
