If the team goes two matches without scoring, the defender's card will receive a +1 in defense and physicality. After four matches without a goal, the card gains a PlayStyle, which is a unique skill set that affects gameplay. If the team remains goalless for six matches, the card gets a +1 overall rating, and after ten matches, it receives another +1 overall. For attackers, upgrades are based on goals and key passes. Three such contributions will give a +1 in shooting and passing, while six contributions unlock an additional PlayStyle. Ten contributions lead to an overall improvement, and twenty contributions result in another overall improvement.
