Apple TV is set to deliver a busy month of October 2026 with the release of several new films and the return of popular series. While Apple TV has a smaller selection of content compared to some of its rivals, the platform is planning a range of new additions for the month. Among the highlights are the debut of Nocturne, a new series based on the novels by Lars Kepler, and the second season of Where's Wanda?, a recent hit. A new action film, Matchbox, starring John Cena and Jessica Biel, is also expected to be a major release. One of the films set for October is The Last First Winter K2, a documentary directed by Amir Bar-Lev that follows mountaineers attempting the first winter ascent of K2, one of the world's most dangerous peaks. Another film, Tenzing, is a fictional account of the life of Tenzing Norgay, who was one of the first people to reach the summit of Mount Everest. The film stars Genden Phuntsok, Tom Hiddleston, Willem Dafoe, and Caitríona Balfe. Matchbox, produced by Skydance and directed by Sam Hargrave, is set to be a major action film with a cast including John Cena, Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, and Arturo Castro. In addition to new films, Apple TV will also bring back some of its popular series. The Sisters Grimm, which first launched in October 2025, will return for a second season. Where's Wanda? is also set to return for its second season, continuing the story of a character who disappears after a mysterious event. The month will end with the debut of Nocturne, which follows Inspector Jonah Lynn, a former soldier turned police officer in Pennsylvania who faces challenges from both his family and a serial killer. The schedule for October 2026 includes the following releases: on 2 October, The Last First Winter K2 will premiere; on 9 October, Matchbox will be released; and on 16 October, Tenzing will debut. For the series, The Sisters Grimm (season 2) will air on 2 October, Small Prophets (season 1) on 7 October, Where's Wanda? (season 2) on 21 October, and Nocturne (season 1) on 30 October.
