Bosch has unveiled a new line of robotic vacuum cleaners called the Spotless 2, which replaces its previous model, the Bosch Spotless Max. The Spotless 2 range includes several models, with the basic version launching in September 2026, followed by the Spotless 2 Advanced + in October 2026, and the Spotless 2 Max + in January 2027. These new models continue Bosch’s collaboration with Ecovacs, using their hardware while adding Bosch’s own specifications for reliability and data privacy. Bosch emphasizes that all mapping and navigation data is stored on secure European servers, meeting strict standards like BSI and GDPR. The TurboSpin motor, a key component, comes with a 10-year warranty. The Spotless 2 Advanced + and Spotless 2 Max + models offer enhanced cleaning power, with suction capabilities reaching up to 30,000 Pa. These models feature a conical anti-entanglement brush, open on one side, that automatically untangles hair and pet fur. They also include an extendable antibacterial roller that can clean near baseboards and automatically raises when moving over thick carpets. A built-in camera and artificial intelligence allow the robot to detect stains, stop suction, and scrub the area with the roller before returning to its base to rinse. This ensures more thorough cleaning with minimal disruption. The entry-level Spotless 2 model has a slightly lower suction power of 25,000 Pa, but still includes a Carbon Power brush, two rotating pads, and a LiDAR navigation system for precise mapping. Higher-end models add features like a LiDAR ToF sensor, AI camera, and infrared lighting to work effectively in dark areas. These models can also navigate over small door thresholds and are compatible with the Matter smart home standard through Bosch’s Home Connect ecosystem. An all-in-one charging station manages the robot's cleaning process, including emptying, refilling, and cleaning with hot water and air up to 75 °C. The station adjusts washing temperatures based on the room, with higher temperatures used in bathrooms for disinfection. It also includes antibacterial filters and dust bags for enhanced hygiene. In addition to the Spotless 2 range, Bosch introduced a concept vacuum cleaner designed to be fully integrated into a kitchen cabinet. The robot can automatically enter and exit through a hidden slot in the cabinet base, connected to the kitchen’s water and drainage systems. This design eliminates the need for daily manual maintenance, with the dust bin and detergent card stored in a drawer, such as under the sink. Bosch also launched the OneFlow range, a water and dust vacuum cleaner developed entirely in-house. Designed to clean both dry debris and liquid spills in one pass, it offers up to 40 minutes of battery life and can clean over 150 m² on a single charge. The OneFlow includes features like automatic dirt detection, an anti-entanglement system, and an articulated design that allows it to easily maneuver under furniture. While the OneFlow range is efficient and energy-conscious, it lacks the high-temperature steam technology found in some competing models showcased at the IFA 2026 trade fair.
