The **TV Beats Forum**, a section of the **Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event** focused on drama series, will return from 16 to 17 November with ten projects selected for its sixth **TV Beats Co-Financing Market**. The projects come from ten European countries and cover a range of genres and themes, bringing together both emerging creators and established production companies. Each project has been chosen for its strong potential in international co-production, sales, and distribution. The selection highlights **TV Beats’** role in connecting the production communities of the Baltic, Nordic, and Central and Eastern European regions, with a growing reach into Western and Southern Europe. According to **TV Beats Forum** co-heads Petri Kemppinen and Roosa Toivonen, the Czech Republic, Estonia, and Finland had the highest number of submissions this year. The final list also includes projects from Ireland, Spain, Belgium, Poland, Lithuania, and Iceland. Kemppinen noted that the selection shows the diversity of stories being created in the region and beyond, while Toivonen praised the resilience of producers in the Baltics and the region’s role as a bridge between the Nordic and Central and Eastern European areas. The ten projects will compete for the Council of Europe Series Co-Production Development Award, a non-reimbursable grant worth €50,000. This prize is part of the Council of Europe’s Pilot Programme for series co-productions and is open to independent producers from **Eurimages** member states. It aims to support creative collaborations in European series production. In addition, **MIDPOINT Institute**, a long-time partner of **TV Beats**, will present its **MIDPOINT Series Consulting Award** to one of the selected projects. This year’s line-up includes several established filmmakers and producers. Poland’s Dariusz Jabłoński, known for **Fortel**, is a veteran in Polish film and television. Estonia’s Aet Laigu produces **Stormbird**, directed by Kadri Kõusaar, who has previously worked on **The Arbiter** and **Mother**. Finland’s **The Woman Who Roared**, directed by Pamela Tola, comes from the same team behind **Ladies of Steel** and **Bad Apples**. Czech filmmaker Jiří Havelka, known for **Owners**, directs **Intimacy on Prescription**. **Kalmann**, directed by Kristofer Dignus, is adapted from Joachim B Schmidt’s bestselling novel. Estonia is also represented by **Breaking the Ice**, produced by Jevgeni Supin, who previously won a **TV Beats Producer Award** in 2025. The series is co-created by screenwriter Leana Jalukse, known for **Mother** and **Fire Lily**. Belgium’s **The Inheritance**, a psychological thriller, is created by Kristoffel Mertens and Antwerp-based **Panenka**.
