New mobile wallet for business travelers

S4BT - Solutions for Business Travel has introduced a mobile wallet developed by its financial technology brand, Trevium, in collaboration with the B2B payment platform Pliant. The feature is available globally to S4BT customers who use virtual cards issued by Pliant.

How the wallet works

Travelers receive a secure link the day before their arrival, which allows them to add their virtual card—linked to their hotel reservation—to a compatible mobile wallet. They can then make contactless payments at the hotel without needing to download a separate app.

Targeting specific travel needs

The feature is especially useful for travelers who need to pay for extra hotel services with their personal card and later submit an expense report. It simplifies the process of separating business and personal expenses during travel.

Two payment models available

The system supports two payment models. In the direct model, a single virtual card is generated and sent to the hotel. In the split model, two cards are created: one for the room and breakfast, and another for additional services, which the traveler can access through their mobile wallet.

No changes for hotels or financial teams

Hotels and financial teams do not need to adjust their processes. The same authorized balance is used for both cards, ensuring that an amount debited through one channel is no longer available through the other, preventing double payments.

Part of a broader partnership

This mobile wallet is the second product from the partnership between Trevium and Pliant. The first was Guaranteed Transaction Enrichment, launched in July 2026, which provides financial teams with validated transaction data before billing.

S4BT's business scope

S4BT operates under eight brands and employs more than 700 people. Christopher Hecht, CEO of Trevium and Global Payment Solutions Officer at S4BT, stated in the press release that business travelers are accustomed to using smartphones for payments, and hotel payments should not be more complicated.
