Extended bus hours in Essonne

Starting Monday, October 19, the Paris-Saclay bus network in Essonne will operate later in the evenings and on Sundays, according to Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM). This change is part of an effort to better serve the 320,000 residents of the area, including students and workers.

New metro line to influence transport

The extension of bus services is directly linked to the upcoming arrival of the first section of the line 18 metro. This metro line will connect Massy-Palaiseau to Christ de Saclay, beginning operations in December. This development is expected to improve connectivity for the Paris-Saclay region, which hosts 60,000 students and 25,000 companies.

Updated schedule for line 4611

Line 4611, which serves Gif-sur-Yvette, will now run until 00:15 from Monday to Saturday and until 22:30 on Sundays. Previously, it operated from 6:00 to 22:00 on weekdays, 7:00 to 23:45 on Saturdays, and 6:45 to 21:40 on Sundays. This change aims to accommodate evening travel needs.

New bus line 219 introduced

A new line 219 will replace line 4616, taking over the route of bus 119 between Massy and Vauhallan. Line 119 will maintain its existing route between Antony and Massy and will be extended to the "Chris de Saclay" stop to connect with the future line 18 metro. This change is intended to provide more consistent service for passengers.

Line 4627, which connects the Palaiseau Polytechnic district, Orsay, and Ulis, will have a new Sunday service from 6:00 to 21:30, running every thirty minutes. This addition is designed to improve access to the Paris-Saclay hospital for residents and visitors.
