Anker Soundcore has introduced the AeroClip 2, a new set of open-ear earbuds featuring an AI chip developed in-house by the company called the Thus chip. This chip is designed to isolate the user’s voice from background noise, making calls clearer even in noisy environments. The earbuds also include a "Whisper" mode that enhances voice intelligibility when the user is speaking softly. Unlike traditional earbuds that block the ear canal, the open-ear design of the AeroClip 2 allows for more natural sound and better situational awareness.
The AeroClip 2 builds upon the original Soundcore AeroClip, launched in 2025, by integrating the same 12 mm transducer and LDAC compatibility, which supports high-resolution audio. The new model adds the Thus AI chip, which also enables real-time translation and transcription features. Anker claims that the combination of the transducer and LDAC codec ensures high-quality sound despite the open-ear design. The earbuds offer up to 8 hours of playback on a full charge, extending to 32 hours with the charging case. Fast charging adds four hours of playback in just ten minutes, and they support Bluetooth 6.0 and wireless charging. The price is set at 179.99 euros, up from 129.99 euros for the first generation, reflecting the added AI features.
In a more compact and traditional intra-aural design, the Anker Soundcore Liberty Buds 2 are priced lower at 129.99 euros. They also feature the Thus AI chip and use a 9.2 mm paper diaphragm, a material that helps improve the reproduction of low frequencies. These earbuds support high-resolution LDAC audio and Dolby Audio for enhanced sound quality. They offer up to 7 hours of playback with active noise cancellation enabled and up to 12 hours without it, with the charging case extending this to 36 and 48 hours, respectively. Like the AeroClip 2, they also support fast charging.
Anker also unveiled the Anker Soundcore Sleep Earbuds 4, a new version designed to help users sleep better by reducing disruptive noises. The fourth generation of these earbuds improves active noise cancellation by 3 to 5 decibels in the 200 to 800 Hz range, which is known to interfere with sleep. They automatically detect snoring and play masking sounds in real time. The charging case includes a Smart-Sensing feature that can detect important environmental sounds, like a fire alarm, and alert the user by activating the earbuds’ transparency mode. These earbuds offer up to 10 hours of battery life in standard mode.
Finally, the Anker Soundcore Space 2 Pro headphones feature the first use of the Thus AI chip in a headphone. Equipped with a total of 8 microphones, they use the chip to isolate voice during calls and reduce background noise effectively. The headphones offer up to 30 hours of playback with active noise cancellation enabled and up to 60 hours without it. They are available in black, gray, or white.
All these new products will be available starting September 22, 2026, with the Sleep Earbuds 4 launching in October. Prices range from 129.99 euros for the Liberty Buds 2 and Space 2 Pro to 249.99 euros for the Sleep Earbuds 4.
