New facility construction starts

Pratt & Whitney, a company within the RTX group, has started building a new 6,500 square meter facility at its Rzeszów, Poland site on October 23. The project is part of a larger investment plan announced earlier this year.

Significant financial investment

The construction involves a 100 million dollar investment aimed at boosting production capacity for vital rotating components used in both civilian and military aircraft engines. These components include compressor and turbine disks for engines such as the GTF, F135, and F100.

Future operations and employment

Operations at the new facility are expected to begin in 2028, and the project is anticipated to create more than 120 new jobs. This expansion underscores the growing importance of the Rzeszów site in Pratt & Whitney's global manufacturing strategy.

Current production at the site

The Rzeszów location already produces engines for a range of aircraft, including helicopters, business jets, and general aviation planes. Models produced there include the PT6, PW200, PW500/600, and PW800 engines.
