Kia introduces new hybrid model at Paris Motor Show

At the Paris Motor Show 2026, Kia unveiled its new compact hybrid model, the K4, which is available exclusively in hybrid versions. While the brand primarily showcased its electric vehicles at the event, the K4 stands out as a notable exception.

Kia’s strategy to enter French market

Kia plans to introduce the model in France in the coming months, with its presence at the Paris Motor Show indicating a strategic move to enter the French market. The K4 is already sold in some European countries and the United States but has not yet been available in France.

K4’s size and design features

The K4 measures 4.44 meters in length, surpassing the Peugeot 308 (4.37 meters) and the Volkswagen Golf (4.28 meters) in size. The model features the latest design elements from Kia, distinguishing it from the brand's electric models like the EV4.

Interior layout and variations

Inside the K4, the layout includes a large digital panel with three screens: a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch multimedia system, and a smaller 5.3-inch screen for the air conditioning. The gear lever on the Paris exhibit will be replaced by a more elegant dial in the French version.

K4’s engine options and market details

The K4 is equipped with hybrid engines, including a 115-horsepower thermal engine with 48V hybridization and a higher 154-horsepower pure hybrid engine, which is also found in the new Kia Seltos. The exact launch date and pricing for the French market have not been announced yet, but it is expected to arrive by the end of the year.
