Kia K4 hybrid arrives in Europe in 2026

The Kia K4 hybrid will be available in Europe by the end of 2026, offering both sedan and station wagon versions. It will replace the Ceed in the competitive C-segment, known for its design and improved trunk space compared to other hybrids.

Kia K4 unveiled at major auto show

The K4 was introduced at the Mondial de l'Auto 2026, marking a new phase for the Kia range. Production for Europe began in mid-October 2026, with deliveries expected in December starting in Poland.

Powertrain details of the K4 hybrid

The K4 hybrid features a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 102 hp, paired with a 61 hp electric motor. Combined power reaches 154 hp, with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The battery has a capacity of 1.54 kWh and is not rechargeable by the driver.

Interior features and design changes

The K4 retains its 12.3-inch screens and digital interior, but introduces a new speed selector on the steering column. This change frees up space in the central console and adds extra storage between the seats.

Trim levels and features in Poland

In Poland, the K4 hybrid offers three trims: M, L, and GT-Line. The M level includes features like automatic climate control, LED headlights, and a 12.3-inch screen. The GT-Line adds 18-inch wheels, ventilated seats, and a Harman Kardon audio system.

Pricing for the K4 hybrid in Europe

In Poland, the K4 Hybrid 2027 starts around 28,500 EUR, with higher trims reaching 38,100 EUR. In Spain, the thermal version begins at 30,750 EUR, with the hybrid estimated at around 35,000 EUR. Prices for France are not yet announced.

Trunk space in hybrid and micro-hybrid versions

Many compact hybrids have reduced trunk space due to the battery. The 48 V micro-hybrid version of the K4 also experiences a drop in available space. The five-door sedan has 438 liters, and the Sportswagon has 604 liters, but these numbers decrease with the micro-hybrid version.

Kia K4 hybrid maintains full trunk space

Unlike other hybrids, the K4 hybrid maintains the same trunk space as its gasoline counterparts. The five-door has 438 liters, and the Sportswagon offers 604 liters. These figures remain unchanged even with the rear seats folded, providing ample space for luggage and pets.
