Alert issued to gendarmerie

An alert was given at 2:20 p.m. to the Besançon Tarragnoz gendarmerie brigade community about a theft involving jewelry.

Victim approached by two individuals

According to the initial elements communicated by the Doubs gendarmerie group, the victim was approached by two individuals with particularly pleasant demeanor, which may have helped them gain her trust.

Jewelry stolen during the exchange

During the exchange, one of them put rings on the fingers of the other, taking advantage of the situation to steal the two wedding rings of the victim. The same person then put a gold chain around the victim's neck, using this new maneuver to take possession of her two necklaces.

Victim realized jewelry was missing later

It was only upon returning home that the victim realized her jewelry had disappeared, prompting the investigation.

Investigation underway

An investigation has been opened to clarify the circumstances of this theft and to identify the individuals involved, as authorities work to determine how the suspects were able to steal the jewelry so quickly and discreetly.
