Tax deadlines in November 2026

Multiple tax-related deadlines and changes are set for November 2026, according to information published on the French government's tax website, impots.gouv.fr. These changes affect property tax, housing tax, and other financial obligations, with specific dates and procedures outlined for different types of taxpayers.

Eleventh deduction for increased property tax

For property tax and housing tax payers on a monthly installment plan, deductions are typically spread from mid-January to mid-October. However, if there is an increase in the tax for 2026, an eleventh deduction is scheduled for mid-November. This information is included on the property tax notice, helping taxpayers plan accordingly.

Real estate wealth tax and end-of-term deductions

The first deadline in November is November 16, which is the date to pay the real estate wealth tax (IFI) for those who did not pay in September. Those who do not use a digital payment method must pay by November 16, while online payments can be made until midnight on November 21. Deductions for those who enroll in the end-of-term deduction will occur on November 26, 2026, and the deduction contract will be renewed unless objected to.

Housing tax enrollment and exemptions

The second deadline is November 30, which is the date to enroll in the end-of-term deduction for the housing tax. Previously, the housing tax was paid in November and December, but for those with a secondary residence, the payment deadline is now mid-December. Additionally, November 30 is the last day to apply for an exemption from the 12.8% tax deduction on interest for 2027, which is available for individuals with specific income limits.

Online and paper tax notices

Starting November 2, online publication of housing tax notices for non-monthly taxpayers will be available on impots.gouv.fr. From November 5 to November 28, paper housing tax notices will be mailed. Online publication of housing tax notices for monthly taxpayers will occur on November 16, along with monthly advance payment deductions under the income tax at source for certain income types. On November 25, the third deduction of the remaining income tax balance will be made for those whose balance exceeded 300 euros and was split into four installments from September to December.
