Halloween drive-in in Pozzuoli

At Pozzuoli, near Naples, a unique Halloween event called Horror Drive-In transforms a traditional outdoor movie experience into a high-tension horror adventure for 2026. Attendees watch a film while being surrounded by actors in zombie costumes and other terrifying characters.

The immersive horror experience

The event takes place at night, with spectators locked inside their cars. The experience begins with the engines and headlights turned off, creating a sense of isolation. As the movie plays on a giant screen, actors dressed as creatures and zombies approach cars, creating an eerie and intense atmosphere.

Event details and location

The Horror Drive-In is the first of its kind in Europe and is organized by HorrorDays, a brand under the Mix Mark S.r.l. company. It takes place at the Drive-in di Pozzuoli, located at Contrada La Schiana 21, on the outskirts of Naples. The event runs from October 23 to November 1, with a special focus on Halloween.

The structure of the experience

Each evening includes multiple sessions, each lasting thirty minutes and accommodating up to 80 cars. Attendees must arrive with their own cars, park, and turn off all lights and engines. They tune into a specific FM frequency to receive audio narration that guides the experience.

The story and scare tactics

The audio narration follows a storyline where an artificial intelligence goes rogue, causing chaos in the city. Scare actors dressed as zombies and creatures move among the cars, brushing against windows and creating a sense of fear. The organizers emphasize that the experience is designed to be psychologically intense, with strict safety rules in place.

Tickets and restrictions

Tickets are available for 12 euros online or 15 euros at the box office. The event is not recommended for people with heart conditions, epilepsy, anxiety, claustrophobia, or pregnant women. Attendees must remain in their cars throughout the experience, with the only exception being if they signal panic by turning on emergency lights.
