French driver Isack Hadjar is set to return to Formula One this week at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix after missing the last three races due to a wrist injury. The 21-year-old, who is part of the Red Bull Racing team, sustained the injury during a boxing session over the summer break and required an arm splint during recovery. He will replace New Zealand's Liam Lawson, who filled in for him during the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain Grand Prix. Red Bull confirmed that Hadjar has made a "full recovery" and is ready to return to the track in Baku. During Hadjar's absence, Liam Lawson performed well in his place, finishing seventh in the Netherlands and sixth in Spain, though he did not score points in Italy. Red Bull praised Lawson for his professionalism and contribution, adding that they wish him the best as he returns to the junior team Racing Bulls. Hadjar will now rejoin his teammate, four-time world champion Max Verstappen, in the Red Bull Racing lineup. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place on an unusual schedule due to a public holiday in Baku, with practice sessions moved to Thursday and qualifying on Friday. This shift allows the race weekend to proceed as usual. Meanwhile, Verstappen has recently expressed frustration with the current Formula One cars, noting that they seem less responsive to driver inputs, making it harder for drivers to stand out. Hadjar's return comes with some positive momentum. He was officially promoted to third place in the Monaco Grand Prix after appeals regarding penalties given to Alpine's Pierre Gasly. This result marked his first podium with Red Bull and matched his personal best from last season. Currently, Hadjar is eighth in the drivers' standings with 71 points, while Verstappen leads the standings with 74 points.
