The Acemagic X3 mini PC, which features a design reminiscent of the classic Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) console, is now available at a discounted price as part of Amazon's Early Prime Day deals. This compact device is aimed at users looking for a small, powerful Windows PC for light gaming, content creation, and daily tasks. Priced at $539 after applying a $36 coupon, the X3 is significantly cheaper than its usual $638.99 price tag, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers. The Acemagic X3 is packed with modern hardware, including an AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 processor, Radeon 780M integrated graphics, 16GB of LPDDR5 memory, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. It also offers a range of connectivity options, such as six USB-A ports, USB4, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.0, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and 2.5Gbps Ethernet, allowing it to support up to three displays. The USB4 port is particularly useful, as it can connect to an external graphics card, potentially boosting the PC's gaming performance beyond what the integrated graphics can handle alone. Despite its strong specs, the X3 has a few limitations. The 16GB of LPDDR5 memory is soldered directly to the motherboard, meaning it cannot be upgraded later. The integrated Radeon 780M graphics are good for lighter 1080p gaming but may struggle with more demanding modern titles. However, the 1TB SSD can be upgraded to as much as 4TB, offering flexibility for storage expansion. While the Acemagic X3 is not officially licensed by Nintendo, its design is clearly inspired by the retro look of the NES, appealing to those who enjoy nostalgic aesthetics. It is best suited for users who want a compact, stylish PC for light gaming and everyday use, but it may not be ideal for those who need a dedicated graphics card for high-end gaming or expect to upgrade the memory in the future. Alongside the X3, Amazon is also offering a selection of NES-themed accessories, including a mouse with a charging dock, a 108-key mechanical keyboard, and a mechanical numpad, all designed to match the retro-inspired look of the PC.
