Behind the boats on display is also an entire ecosystem: shipbuilding and maintenance, sale and rental of vessels, outfitting, mechanics, repairs, port services, boat rides and nautical leisure, sailing, catamarans and multihulls, as well as training, safety and marine environmental protection.

Ajaccio leads in nautical activity in Corsica

According to the CorsiStat study conducted using data from 2022, Ajaccio has 103 establishments related to nautical activities and 497 jobs throughout the year, making it the leading commune in Corsica for these two indicators.

CAPA region hosts significant nautical jobs

At the level of the CAPA, 141 establishments represent 583 jobs, nearly a quarter of the jobs in the island's nautical industry.
