Meanwhile, another highly regarded young player, Leon Knight, who was once seen as a bright prospect at Chelsea and earned caps for England’s youth teams, never reached the Premier League level. His best work came in the second tier with Brighton, where he scored 35 goals in 110 league games between 2003 and 2006. Max Dowman is now looking to build on his early success with Arsenal, but manager Mikel Arteta has not ruled out the possibility of loaning him out to gain more playing time.
