Reopening after renovations

The Quai des Savoirs, a cultural and scientific hub in Toulouse, has fully reopened this Friday, October 16, after being closed since November 2025 for renovations. The reopening coincides with the venue’s tenth anniversary and includes new features and an extended festival.

New auditorium for future discussions

For nearly a year, part of the Quai des Savoirs was closed to construct the Agora des futurs, a 120-seat auditorium designed for discussions on the future of science and technology. The space, equipped with 7.1 surround sound, was inaugurated on October 16 and will host events like a quantum physics conference and the 4th Forum of Desired Futures.

Immersive art installation added

From October 17, visitors can experience XYZT, an immersive installation by the Lyon-based company Cie Adrien M & Claire B. The exhibit features nine interactive devices that transform physical sensations into digital landscapes, allowing visitors to participate in real-time changes to the environment.

Extended festival with free events

The Lumières sur le Quai festival, usually held over three days, is extended through the autumn holidays from October 17 to November 1. The 12th edition includes free events like round tables and outdoor sessions, with the nocturnal Clutch on October 30 featuring vibrating vests for accessibility.

Location and visiting hours

The Quai des Savoirs is located at allée Matilda in Toulouse, near public transport. During the festival, it is open Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Paid or reserved activities are detailed in the online program.
