A Channel 4 employee was found dead in the sea over 100 miles from her home, an inquest has heard. Lolita Visa, 32, a television librarian, was discovered in the water off Llandudno, North Wales, on August 26. Before her death, Visa had traveled from her home in Halifax, West Yorkshire, to visit her father in Manchester. She then went to Liverpool, where she sent a photo to her father, followed by another from Llandudno on August 22. When her family became worried about her absence, they reported her missing to West Yorkshire Police. North Wales Police were contacted three days later. A member of the public called HM Coastguard the following day after reportedly seeing a body in the water near the resort town. At the inquest, Coroner John Gittins said the body was brought aboard a lifeboat and transported to the lifeboat station. A post-mortem examination found injuries consistent with being submerged in water for some time. The inquest was adjourned to a future date. Visa had worked as a Digital Media Librarian for Channel 4 and previously worked for the streaming company Dazn, according to her LinkedIn profile. Visa's family has launched a fundraiser to cover the costs of her funeral and to bring her body back to Latvia, her home country. Relative Wiktoria Januszewska wrote on the fundraising page that the family is "heartbroken" by Visa's death, adding that they were "never prepared, or expected, for this to take place." She said the family is not in a financial position to cover all the costs on their own. Wiktoria described Visa as "bubbly and a joy to be around," noting that she "had stories for days to share about her travels and where she has been." She asked those who knew Visa to remember her for who she was and keep her memories close. The family said any donations would help with funeral expenses and the cost of repatriating Visa to Latvia. If people are unable to donate, they asked for help in sharing her story to reach more people. "On behalf of the family, we thank you," Wiktoria said.
