French authorities raided a fast-food restaurant, uncovering weapons, cocaine, and cash, signaling possible organized crime ties.
Operation at fast-food restaurant
On Thursday, October 15, around 8:00 PM, customs agents and Urssaf officials conducted an intervention at a fast-food restaurant located at 119, rue de la République, in the Village neighborhood of Vaulx-en-Velin. The operation was part of an investigation into suspected fraud and money laundering.Weapons and drugs found
During the inspection, authorities discovered several hand guns in the basement of Dragon ball food, as well as 3 kg of cocaine, approximately 70,000 euros in cash, and a hundred rounds of ammunition of different calibers, including 48 .44 Magnum cartridges. Body armor was also found on site.Police involvement
Police officers were called in to assist with the investigation after the discovery of the weapons and drugs. The presence of firearms and illicit substances indicated the operation was more serious than initially anticipated.Arrest made
An employee, the only person present in the restaurant at the time of the inspection, was arrested. According to Le Progrès, the individual is now under investigation for their involvement in the activities uncovered during the search.Known connections
Several family members who own the establishment are already known to the police. This suggests that the restaurant may have been used as a front for illegal activities, possibly linked to organized crime.
