Electric bike brand Vefaa launches new model

Vefaa, an electric bike brand founded by Roc Argiles Baro, has released a new version of its Bonjour model called the Neo, aimed at making its e-bikes more accessible by keeping the price below 2,000 €.

Design and features of the Bonjour Neo

The Bonjour Neo is built on a single-size frame suitable for riders from 1.55 to 1.90 meters tall. It features a classic design with a reinforced frame and a battery mounted on the top tube, now painted to match the frame. The bike includes practical features like a kickstand, powerful front light, and a rear light with a stop function.

Upgraded display and connectivity options

The Bonjour Neo comes with a larger, color display from Ananda, offering more readable information and a USB-C port for charging devices. It also includes an app that provides detailed ride data but lacks trip recording. An optional "Connect" feature adds GPS tracking and an alarm, with a subscription fee after the first year.

Comfort and performance for urban use

The Neo features a suspended fork and wide tires for better comfort on city streets. While it is stable and equipped with reliable brakes, it sacrifices some agility. The bike weighs 24.3 kg, which is standard for an urban e-bike with its full set of accessories.

Motor performance and battery range

The Ananda R400 motor provides 45 Nm of torque, enough for city riding but less effective on steep hills. The bike offers up to 110 kilometers of range in Eco mode, though our test showed 55 kilometers in Boost mode under typical urban conditions. A standard charger takes over six hours to fully charge the 504 Wh battery.

Pricing and availability

Priced at 1,999 €, the Bonjour Neo is more affordable than its predecessor, the Bonjour Evo, which cost 2,499 €. The Neo is available in five colors and is sold through about fifty retailers in France, with assembly in Villeurbanne and a warranty on the frame and assistance system.
