As Amazon starts its Prime Days sale on October 6 and 7, AliExpress is offering a significant discount on the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G during its Local Day event. The 12+512 Go version of this Xiaomi smartphone is currently available for 293.59 €, down from 402.98 €, using the code FRPRD30 before checkout. This is a notable drop from a previous listing on September 21, when the same configuration was priced at 371.32 €. The promotion runs until October 7 at 23:59 and is aimed at consumers looking for a high-capacity battery without spending more than 300 €. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G is the most feature-rich version of the Redmi Note 15 series. It includes a 6500 mAh silicon-carbon battery that lasted 18 hours and 33 minutes in continuous use, according to Fnac’s lab tests. This provides enough power for two days of moderate use without needing to recharge. It also supports 100 W wired charging, which can fully charge the device in under an hour. The phone has a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, capable of reaching 3200 nits in peak brightness, making it highly readable in direct sunlight. The device is designed for users who want to minimize charging and plan to keep their phone for several years, as Xiaomi offers six years of security updates. However, it may not be the best choice for photography enthusiasts, as the main camera has a 200 Mpx sensor with stabilization, but the ultra-wide-angle lens is considered weak in several tests. There is no telephoto lens included. The phone weighs about 207 grams, which may not appeal to those who prefer a more compact design. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G’s main competitor is the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, which has a Dimensity 7400-Ultra chip and 45 W charging. It was listed at 249.43 € for the 8+256 Go version as of October 1. The approximately 44 € price difference covers the 100 W charging, a faster processor, and double the storage. However, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G is not currently in the top list of best smartphones, where the Honor 600 leads and the Honor Magic 8 Lite is noted for its endurance at a lower price. Unlike Amazon’s Prime Days, which require a paid Prime subscription, this discount on AliExpress does not require any subscription. The code FRPRD30 is entered at checkout, and users should confirm the selected variant is the 12+512 Go version before finalizing their purchase. At 293.59 €, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G offers a battery that lasts, fast charging, and a bright screen for outdoor use. It is a solid option for those seeking a durable phone under 300 €. However, those who prioritize photography, gaming, or clean software may need to consider higher-priced alternatives. Additionally, users should be prepared to manage pre-installed apps from HyperOS during the first startup. If you were waiting for Prime Days to upgrade your phone, this offer provides a useful benchmark to compare Amazon’s deals on October 6 and 7.
