Montpellier Hérault Rugby (MHR) will wear a pink collector jersey during its match against Toulon on Sunday, October 4, as part of the October Rose campaign. This initiative is aimed at raising awareness and support for people affected by breast cancer. The jersey, designed by MHR Solidaire, a foundation linked to the club, will be sold, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Montpellier Breast Institute. The remaining funds will be used to support other societal actions carried out by the Hérault club's foundation. The campaign features images taken in the gardens of the Peyrou and the Septeo Stadium, showcasing various individuals connected to the cause. These include godfathers and godmothers of the rugby health section, club staff, sponsors, health professionals, and a patient from the Montpellier Breast Institute. The rugby health section of MHR was established in 2016 and has since focused on supporting cancer patients through adapted physical activity during their treatment or recovery. The club continues to integrate rugby, prevention, and support into its community efforts. The pink jersey will be worn during the 5th round of the Top 14 match, which is scheduled for 9:05 p.m. The club hopes that this jersey, which represents a sense of belonging for both the team and its supporters, will bring attention to a cause that extends beyond the rugby field. The campaign also aims to generate interest through jersey sales, with the goal of continuing its impact long after the MHR-Toulon match.
