Israeli firms limited at Euronaval show

Israeli companies will be allowed to participate in the Euronaval defense show in Paris, but only to display equipment related to air defense, anti-missile, and anti-ballistic defense. The restriction was confirmed by Euronaval organizers, who emphasized that the French government has set strict guidelines for non-governmental Israeli exhibitors.

Tensions over Israeli participation in French defense events

Since 2024, France has faced tensions with Israel over the participation of Israeli companies in defense exhibitions, particularly those linked to the war in Gaza. At the 2025 air show in Le Bourget, Israeli offensive weapons were covered with black tarps, leading to protests from Israel. Similar restrictions were applied at Eurosatory in 2026, resulting in the closure of 12 Israeli booths.

Israeli government not involved in Euronaval

According to Euronaval general commissioner Guillaume Merveilleux du Vignaux, the Israeli government or its representatives are not participating in the show. Only a small number of Israeli exhibitors—around six—have registered, and organizers will ensure they comply with French government directives regarding what can be displayed.

Euronaval remains a major global defense event

Euronaval, held biennially in Villepinte, is the world's largest naval defense exhibition. This year, it is expected to host 700 exhibitors, a significant increase from the 500 participants two years ago. Pierre Éric Pommellet, CEO of Naval Group and president of Gican, highlighted the event's growing importance in the global defense industry.
