Karma Automotive unveils the Eximius 1, a radical 1,200-horsepower hybrid supercar built for a single client, redefining luxury customization.
Customized hybrid car unveiled
A wealthy client requested a more radical version of the Karma Revero, leading to the creation of the Eximius 1, which was unveiled at the 2026 Concours in Las Vegas. This new model is a hybrid V8 four-seater with nearly 1,200 horsepower, showcasing an unprecedented level of customization.Engine upgrade and hybrid system
The original Karma Revero series used a small gasoline engine as a generator for the electric system. To meet the client’s demands, Karma removed this engine and replaced it with a 6.2-liter V8, while keeping the series hybrid rechargeable system. The combined system produces 1,195 horsepower, with 550 hp from the combustion engine and 645 hp from the battery pack.Performance claims and development status
Karma claims the Eximius 1 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and has a top speed over 322 km/h. These figures are for a four-seater hybrid and have not yet been independently verified. The car is still in development and is being tailored for its buyer.Track-focused design features
To handle the car’s power, Karma installed carbon-ceramic brakes with two-part grooved discs and a semi-active Öhlins suspension. The body is nearly five centimeters wider than a standard Revero to accommodate wing extensions. Most exterior panels use pre-impregnated carbon fiber, with 21-inch magnesium wheels completing the track-oriented design.Eximius program and exclusivity
The Eximius program allows customers to customize the car’s body, powertrain, and performance components. Each Eximius creation is unique, designed by Karma’s teams for individual clients. The program is limited to nine one-of-a-kind vehicles, each tailored to a different buyer.Karma's vision for the Eximius program
Marques McCammon, CEO of Karma, described the Eximius program as a way to "remove the word 'no' from conversations about what is possible." He called the Eximius 1 "the most powerful series hybrid rechargeable powertrain ever developed," highlighting its significance in the brand’s lineup.Karma’s evolving product line
Karma is reorganizing its product range, with the Gyesera Grand Coupé expected to reach dealerships in December. Production of the Revero will stop, but no price details have been released for the Eximius 1.
