Disney+ has officially confirmed the casting for Un automne pour te pardonner, the first volume of Morgane Moncomble's Seasons saga, which is being adapted for the streaming platform. The project, which began filming this summer, joins another adaptation of Moncomble's work previously announced by France Télévisions. By 2026, two of Moncomble's novels will be adapted for screens, as the author continues to expand her presence in bookstores. The adaptation includes several character name changes, such as Rory becoming Amaury, Alastair becoming Théophile, and Skye becoming Stella, though Disney+ has not specified the reason for these changes. The series, produced by UGC Fiction and Lady Fiction, is directed by Sarah Heitz de Chabaneix and Julie Rohart, and will be exclusively available on Disney+ with no broadcast date announced at this time. The Seasons saga, composed of four novels—Un automne pour te pardonner, Un hiver pour te résister, Un printemps pour te succomber, and Un été pour te retrouver—has reached nearly 1.7 million readers in France, with the first volume translated into more than ten countries, including the United States, Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands. According to Edistat, Moncomble's works have sold more than 3.6 million copies. The success of Seasons follows a progressive trajectory, as Moncomble, discovered on Wattpad, was signed by Hugo Publishing in 2017 at the age of 21. France Télévisions had previously announced the adaptation of Aime-moi, je te fuis, Moncomble's 2018 novel, into a 90-minute television film, set for broadcast in the 2026-2027 season. The film, produced by La Méridienne, will be written by Clara Lemaire Anspach and Justine Kim Gautier, and directed by Marine Colomies. Moncomble is also working on La Vengeance de la veuve noire, the second volume of her Inheritance trilogy, published by Hugo Roman on September 2. Set in London in 1812, the novel follows Wisteria, an apothecary who becomes a poisoner helping women escape their tormentors.
