Paul Seixas wraps up his 2026 road racing season with eight victories and heads to Asia for criteriums before a winter break.
Seixas completes 2026 racing season
Paul Seixas, a French cyclist for the Decathlon CMA CGM team, has finished his road racing schedule for 2026. He won the Tour of Lombardy in October and took part in the Roc d'Azur before focusing on team duties, promotional events, and criterium races in Asia. After 49 days of racing and eight victories this year, Seixas will take a vacation in mid-November.Health check and team meetings ahead
Seixas's schedule does not end immediately after his victory in the last Monument of the season. On October 13, the 20-year-old rider must undergo a season-ending health check in Besançon. He will then attend the Decathlon CMA CGM administrative camp from October 19 to 23, held at the La Motte-Servolex performance center in Savoie.Team evaluations and new gear
The administrative camp includes meetings with staff, season-end evaluations, posture analysis on the bike he will use in 2027, and measurements for the team's next jersey. Due to this appointment, Seixas will not attend the presentation of the 2027 Tour de France route, scheduled for October 22.Non-cycling appearances in October
Outside of cycling, Seixas will be present at the Groupama Stadium on October 18 to kick off the Lyon-Nice match, a Ligue 1 encounter. He could also attend the NFL match between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints, scheduled for October 25 at the Stade de France.Return to racing in November
Seixas will return to cycling in November, but far from European races. The Decathlon CMA CGM rider is expected to be the headline act at the Singapore Criterium on November 7 and 8, then at the Saitama Criterium on November 15. Once these events are completed, the young Frenchman will finally be able to break away from the competition rhythm and enjoy two to three weeks of vacation before turning to the preparation for the 2027 season.
